PSD Training Group - VIP Close Protection, Advanced Defensive Driving Course

Personnel working in hostile environments are at most risk when in transit form place to place. Terrorists, hostage takers and other hostile elements are well aware of this fact and are committed to exploiting it. Close Protection Driving is a package of essential skills that has evolved to enable drivers both to prevent incidents before they occur and to respond quickly and effectively when they do.

The first focus is on prevention. Drivers are trained to develop the awareness and concentration they need to anticipate hazards and thus keep their principle out of harm’s way.

Drivers are trained in the swift recognition and response to changes in the security situation. Training covers the full range of road and traffic conditions. The focus is always on prevention: defensive driving techniques, awareness, threat recognition and quick response all enable the drivers to keep their principle safe.
The training course leads to a recognized certificate.

To earn the certificate, drivers must achieve a minimum standard of a ‘Silver Pass’ in the advanced driving test. By doing so, they will have proved themselves capable of discharging all the duties of a Close Protection Driver safely, effectively and professionally.

The training course affords a highly effective, real-world training designed for the most demanding and hazardous environments on earth. This course represents the most comprehensive training available outside of the police or military. JG, the course director, is a qualified Advanced Defensive and VIP Close Protection Driver Trainer & Assessor as well as a UK licensed Close Protection Officer, licensed under the UK Security Industry regulations who regularly deploys to the Middle East.

Accreditation and Reports
The training course is a pass/fail course, standards are high, all graduating students receive a detailed report on their performance, to use when applying for work, all successful students will be forwarded to our strategic partners for interviews.

Food & Accommodation
Food & accommodation are FREE, breakfast, lunch and dinner at NO ADDITIONAL COST!! A sleeping bag will be required.


Eligibility
Anyone over the age of 21, with a full light vehicle driving license, able to communicate, verbally and in written English is eligible to attend the course, please be aware we cannot guarantee employment, standards are high and will remain as such.

Just a note to anyone thinking of taking the PSD Training Operator course. I have been on a few courses in my past military life and i thought it was conducted with complete professionalism. Taught by instructors intent on passing on their vast knowledge and experience as team leaders working in level 5 conditions, apart from the course the training area and facility's was on the ball, not to mention the food (salads for me chef). all in all i recommend it to anybody thinking of taking a course its a good 1 to have under your belt. money well spent. Another course I did  and it got me the job I'm doing now PSD Iraq..... And have been doing for over 2 years now... Cheers AB.
