PSD Training Group Instructors & Staff
Our training cadre is made up of
exceptional instructors from some of the worlds foremost military and law
enforcement special operations teams. In selecting an instructor we look
not only at their operational experience but also their communications
skills and ability to lead and motivate students.
AB - Qualified, experienced City & Guilds 7303
(Adult Learning) registered Close Protection instructor, H&SE First Aid at Work instructor. AB was taught Close
Protection by RMP
CP (Longmoor) and 22
SAS, his experience includes PSD TL duties for
NGO's in Iraq, sports persons in the UK, families in Europe, commercial
companies and Government officials from different nations all over
the globe. AB is the Training & Development Director, leading
the PSD Training Group into it's 4th year of providing real life, up to date skill
sets for professionals.
JG - Active in Iraq
since 2003, JG is currently deployed in a senior security role supporting
Western Media interests in Baghdad, part of this contract is the
instruction and management of local nations. JG is a former British
Military instructor, his background includes supporting UK Special Forces,
22 Special Air Service, activities in a number of Areas of Operations
including Operation Telic (2nd Gulf War). JG is a graduate of Phoenix
Close Protection, Ex-Med Remote Medics course, he is a qualified
Advanced Defensive and VIP Close Protection Driver Trainer and Assessor.
KDR
- A former member of 2
PARA & RMP. Passed the Special Air Service CP
Course and the first CP course run by Royal Military Police. Spent several years with
the UK FCO in Bogota, Kampala, Khartoum and Beirut. While
Commanding the British Ambassador's CP Team in Lebanon, shot and killed
the driver of a suicide truck bomb aimed at the US Embassy, awarded the
QGM from the UK Govt and Silver Star by the US Govt.
3 years at the RMP CP Wing at Longmoor, 2 years NATO ILRRP School as a CQB
Instructor. Has carried out PSD work in Afghanistan and Iraq, Team
Leader of a 20 man PSD Team. Recent deployments include short term contracts in Iraq,
Nigeria, Somalia and Durfur Sudan.
NEL - Registered Close
Protection Instructor experienced in (Adult Learning) City & Guilds
7302 with 1886 Conflict Management, HSE First Aid at Work
Instructor. Physical Security Systems Manager, Business Continuity
and Disaster Recovery Manager. A former British Served 28 years
military experience with 2LI and UK Special Forces 23 SAS(R)
operational experiences in Northern Ireland, Balkans, West Africa,
Afghanistan liaising with NGO’s and members of the local population
with attachments to Military Intelligence. Commanding a PSD team in
Baghdad and training local national’s in security procedures.
KY - Former
British NCO. Qualified and accredited City & Guilds 7303 and HSE First
Aid Instructor. Extensive operational
experience within military and private security sectors. Served in a wide variety of high intensity conflict areas including
Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan in equally varied roles; from Operations
Centre Staff, Fleet Management, Close Protection Team member to High
Risk Private Security Detail.
CB
- Active in Iraq since 2004. Commanding a PSD team in Baghdad and training
local Iraqi close protection teams in CP work, also running
the security an Iraqi telephone call centre and training all the
guard force. CB Has 14 years service with the Royal
Marine Commandos, an experienced recruit and trained Marine Weapons and
Tactics instructor, served as a reconnaissance troop sniper and a special
weapons escort with Comacchio Group, Royal Marines. CB is a graduate of the PBA and has
carried out a number of close protection tasks in the UK, CB is also a
trained first aid instructor and qualified City & Guilds 7302 instructor.
SW
- Active in Iraq since 2003, lately has performed duties in Afghanistan
for the US State Dept, currently holds a PSD Team Leader/Instructor
position for an active worldwide PSC.
SW joins PSD Training as an ADS (Assistant Directing Staff) member. Pre
Iraq SW has worked for a number of corporate/private clients. Currently
operational, within the US DOD contracts system in Iraq.
IK - With a Military Intelligence background,
IK has been active in countries such as Iraq, Northern Ireland, Afghanistan,
Israel and Palestine, he brings a world wide knowledge of intelligence
gathering, high level briefings, covert operating in hostile environments.
JW
- Former British Army NCO, NFT Commander, qualified and accredited
City & Guilds 1886 and Close Protection instructor with 15 years
experience in the private and commercial
security sectors, Roles include Team leader, Personal protection
officer and SAP team leader. Registered on the Professional Register
of Trainers, currently contracted as Head of Training in Afghanistan
for a British PMC.
AM -
Former British Army
with 10+ years service as a PSD and Close Protection Officer in
security management worldwide and operations with organisations
throughout the UK and abroad. Professionally trained in VIP
Protection, PSD, HRT and leadership as a Team Leader and Team
Member. He has Travelled, lived, and/or worked in more than 11
countries under hostile or peace conditions including Africa, South
America, USA Mainland, Iraq.
DW -
Former British Army with 14 years experience. A key Military
instructor, responsible for the implementation of training,
commanding exceptional standards throughout. Several years in
Northern Ireland on both Overt and Covert Operations supporting
Special Forces and COP Controllers. Active in Iraq between 2004
-2005, DW worked with the Country Management Office in Baghdad as
part of a Residential Security Team before commanding a 15 man PSD
team in Tikrit and surrounding areas, also responsible for
conducting all in house training for new Security contract members.
Various
- Instructors from operational companies also visit, former Special
Forces, Royalty Protection Group, Parachute Regiment, Military Close
Protection Units, Medical, Firearms, PSD Units, request guest appearances
and visits to our course, to talk with students, take and instruct on
lessons.
